Quaker Certificates 2

 

Halie and Thomas were married on the beach in Mexico and they wanted their certificate to reflect that. See below for some close ups. This certificate was done on Pergamenata parchment and is approximately 30" x 40"

Michelle and Andrew love hiking in the Rockies so they wanted a certificate with alpine flowers. The flowers are Indian paintbrush (red), monkey flower (yellow), Alpine daisy, avalanche lilies and delphiniums.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer and Noah really like the work of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright and asked that their certificate reflect Wright's style. Below is a closeup of the top.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This couple asked for an omega that incorporated birds (wren, robin and Eastern bluebird ), a wooden cross and delphiniums, daisies, daffodils, lavender, Queen Ann's lace, lilies of the valley, forget-me-nots and wheat.

They also asked for a butterfly and a spray of flowers above and below the guests' signatures.

 

 

Mary Beth and Matthew love to travel so they wanted their certificate to reflect this. They sent me pictures of old maps and asked if I could work that motif into the design. Since old maps often have their title in an ornate medallion, I used that as the text area and put the map around it. See below for some closeups.

Erica and Andrew wanted a victorian feel to their certificate and they also wanted a picture of the gazebo where their wedding took place. See the closeups below.

 

 

 

Pamela and Louis are biologists working in Mexico. They asked for delphiniums, shooting stars, ferns, black-eyed Susans, harebells, trillium and Indian paint brush. As biologists they also wanted some insects and great green macaws. See below for closeups.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I did these next two certificates for sisters who had a double wedding.

Lydia and Michael wanted a landscape across the top of their certificate. They also asked for a path that started in the body of the certificate and wound up into the mountains as a symbol of their life together.

Melissa and Miguel study oak forests and fungi. They wanted something in their certificate related to that. They also wanted their cat, a nopal cactus, a shining sun and a garland of apple blossoms, amaranth, hydrangeas, lilacs, ferns and oak leaves.

This couple wanted a picture of the church where they were married. The lettering style is Vivaldi and it was done on Pergamenata parchment. The size is approximately 30" x 40". There is a closeup of the church and the cross below.

 

 

 

 

Denise and Thomas wanted an arch made of irises, black-eyed susans, forget-me-nots and sunflowers . This was done on Stonehenge watercolor paper . It was 20" x 30".

Rebekah and Kristian asked for an omega that was made up of asters, blazing stars, black-eyed susans, purple cone flowers and ironweed. This was done on Stonehenge paper and was approximately 22" x 30".

 

 

 

 

Megan and David wanted an arch and spray design. The flowers they chose were poppies, forget-me-nots, irises, cornflowers, Queen Ann's Lace, black-eyed Susans and daisies. I added some English Ivy at the bottom of the arch. This was done on Stonehenge paper and was approximately 20"x30". Here are some closeups.
